General Motors has recently dropped the beans about a new model of the 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer. This was an unexpected announcement since there were no many details about the basic model. The only details we are familiar with is the new order of EV models which should replace the existing units in the following years. The new Chevy will tend to change its appearance and be more similar to its sibling Chevrolet Trax. However, there will be some details that will tend to make a similar appearance, such as the GM VSS-F vehicle set.
Nevertheless, these two cars are not the same or identical. The dimensions are revealing but not the same again. The exterior details are having an enormous difference so the difference is more than obvious. The next generation is more likely to e switched onto the electric version. By the end of 2024, we should gain the final product with the following presentation.
2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer Exterior
If there is a chance for bringing back this notorious SUV, GM will probably make this happen with the most unique products. The new 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer should show more stamina and a modern redesign with the nicely done front fascia. The most underrated part was actually the frontal part since it had a lot in common with the successor the Chevy Trax. However, most details are invested in the redesign and the new appearance of the LED lights and super heavy grille. This will be one aggressive masculine SUV with more external additions.
The ground clearance should be the same as we had a chance to see on the previous EV version. The color options should be optional regarding the trim level the customer selects. The minor difference should be in tires which will go from 18-inch to 22-inch for the ultimate trim level.
The interior is quite negotiable. The new 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer will definitely have to offer more technical supporting systems, especially in safety features, if they want to compete with its rivals. The interior offers a lot of potential especially with the spaciousness and high-end furnish. Most materials in use are going to be leather and convertible textile fibers. This will make the ride more indulging and with the capacity of five passengers, the road trips are unforgettable. The cargo space addition should offer more room for the baggage, and for transporting items as well.
Chevy’s newest infotainment system, which enables paired connection of two Bluetooth devices, will be available in the new Trailblazer. An 8.0-inch touch-screen infotainment system is an option in addition to the basic 7.0-inch device. Sirius XM satellite radio, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto integration will also be available. Purchasing the Technology package enables wireless connections to the two smartphone devices. The base L comes with a 4-speaker stereo as standard, but higher trims will have a 6-speaker configuration and more.
Engine and Specs
There will be also a choice for engine areas where we can expect 1.2-liter and 1.3-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engines. These variants are available for the new 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The first one makes 137 hp, while the second one makes 155 hp. While the 1.3-liter engine offers optional AWD, the 1.2-liter engine only comes with FWD and is launched with a constant variable automatic transmission (CVT). The basic CVT is replaced with a smooth-shifting 9-speed automatic when AWD is active.
The larger 1.3-liter 3-cylinder Trailblazer with FWD is the most economical, with scores of 29 mpg city and 33 mpg highway, according to the EPA. When AWD is added, the figures drop to 26 and 30, the best case scenario. These are nice scores from the tests, although they are quite similar to the previous model. However, this does not impact the overall sales, which we can understand as a well-done improvement.
2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer Price and Release Date
We believe the 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer LT entry trim level is the best option. With a starting price of slightly under $25,000, with less strong output with a 3-cylinder is included as standard. However, you could upgrade from the 1.2-liter to the 1.3-liter and add AWD, which also adds a 9-speed automatic transmission for about $2000. The most upgraded trim level could cost over $29,500.
A number of attractive features are included like the Adaptive Cruise Control package and driver assistance from the best technical part. Including a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and a rear center armrest, are also part of a deal included in the price. The launching date is still unknown, however, we believe that the finalization of production should be near end. Regarding previous data, the final product should be over by the end of the summer of 2023. So, by the beginning of 2024, we can expect a final presentation of a new SUV.
