A dual-motor system, built with an Ultium battery pack, delivers 664 horsepower and 780 lb-ft of torque. That is enough for a 400 miles range. Also, acceleration is very impressive, and the truck will need just 4.5 seconds to get up to 60 mph. In 10 minutes, fast chargers will restore energy for the next 100 miles.
There will be more improvements on the system in the future. Bosses claimed that the Silverado EV is going to be out with a 500-mile range. Well, such a configuration might be available in 2024. Also, the recharging system might be speeded up. Plus, special versions of the truck could use features we saw on the Hummer EUT.
2023 Chevy Silverado EV Packages
Well, the initial edition of the electric pickup is not going to get Crab Walk and Extract Mode. Those are high-end options. Still, the 2023 Chevy Silverado EV is nicely packed, even if you pick WT or RST editions. Here are some of the notable features those models are going to offer.
A rear-wheel drive is standard. You can also get an AWD, either as an optional upgrade, or as a standard feature from some higher trim levels. General Motors also makes the Super Cruise available for both WT and RST. There is no doubt that future editions are also getting this system. Some experts consider it as one of the best autonomous drives currently available. Multi-Flex Midgate is another trademark accessory. A configurable bed is ready for several functions.
Interior
Crew Cab is something you want to get with the 2023 Chevy Silverado EV. Other options are not announced yet. A huge screen is the center of the infotainment system. In the RST, it will be a 17-inch display. Plus, the digital cluster is an 11-inch screen. That is not all, with the HUD as part of standard equipment. Chevrolet built its multimedia based on the Linux systems. Well, GM is not unveiling everything, but the Silverado EV is about to deliver something special.
Prices and Availability
The base MSRP of the 2023 Chevy Silverado EV is just under $40,000. Pre-orders are opened, and you can count on the federal tax refund of an electric vehicle. The trucks will be built and delivered during 2023. In the second half of the year, the company plans to announce more novelties. One of them could be the Trail Boss package, which will make Silverado EV an off-road truck.
The RST model is going to cost significantly more than the base WT. Expect it around $65,000, at least. The special First Edition, with a unique combination of options, will cost $105,000, officially. However, the company is not unveiling details. All in all, the game in the truck world is ready for the next chapter.
