General Motors has officially confirmed that a few vehicles will run out of gas engines by the end of 2023. This means that most of the models will be transitioning to EV or at least a hybrid version. The upcoming 2024 Chevy Malibu will be one of the units that will enter the production. GM has already determined some deadlines, and according to sources, more than 100,000 units will be available even for pre-sale by the end of 2024. Regarding this, this luxury sedan will be replaced with an EV system which will determine the future faith of this nameplate. The most expected model is yet to be released, so we can expect everything.
The current model is still available for buying, especially with the releasement of an upgraded version. There will be almost an overall offer in GM car production which is shifting to the EV units. Most of them are more focused on the SUV segment and luxury trucks. The new model of Malibu will eventually make a fine standard offer with more upper trims available.
2024 Chevy Malibu Styling
The new 2024 Chevy Malibu will suffer some small changes in order to gain a more modern appearance. However, those changes will not be crucial for launching. These details will be available with the new launch, and it will be consisting some engine upgrades and additional editions. The upper trim levels will have more details regarding the exterior, and mostly in the frontal part. The final retouched details are always connected with redesigned grille and wheels. The current model has Midnight and Sport edition so we can assume that in the new redesign these details stay the same.
The acoustic windshield will stay the same with slightly bigger dimensions. The wheels will start with the 19-inch as the primary dimension and Black-painted aluminum wheels. According to spy shots, we will be able to resemble the black front and rear emblems, following the blacked-out grille and nameplate black badge. The upcoming model will probably keep the current platform since the EV units which is planned to be available by 2035, will eventually use the Ultium platform instead.
Interior
The interior of a new 2024 Chevy Malibu will have an improved interior followed by an upgraded infotainment system. The Gm has confirmed a new infotainment system as the result of special adjustments for existing trim levels. The new luxury sedan will tend to keep its interior up to scale and with a standard package, we can see a better offer. However, there will be slightly physical changes whatsoever. Regarding this data, the interior is spacious with leather details as standard which is not bad. The more legroom and space between the passenger seats, the more attractive the vehicle is.
The Chevrolet infotainment system is able to provide a steady and calm cabin without exterior bumping influence. There is no surprise that the dashboard will suffer some slightly managed details. The LCD touchscreen is basically the same dimensions although we can access the overall controls. Also, having the Wireless Carplay and Android auto compatibility makes thing a lot easier for user.

2024 Chevy Malibu Engine
Launching the new 2024 chevy Malibu will definitely make a difference. Although is one of the models which will have final exposure before the final determination, we still have yet to discover it. The engine should be different according to the trim level available. we still do not yet what kind of options will be available, although the trim levels will maybe stay the same. Nevertheless, the new Malibu will also have several trim options as the previous one. Experts say we are going to have a choice between the 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and the 2.0 turbo engine.
The LS trim level includes the basic package and engine motor. The engine which will be available is 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with CVT variable transmission. The 4-link suspension and 10 airbags are also part of the trim level. The upper trim level as RS will share the same engine package whit addition of 18-inch aluminum wheels and dual exhaust outlets. However, the LT trim level will have 2.0 liter which will be able to perform 22/33 mpg in city/highway.
Price
Although the 2024 Chevy Malibu is yet to be launched, the pricing is still unknown. The different trim levels will contain different prices. The upgraded version will probably have upper pricing, but the start package will closely cost up to $24,500. The most upgraded version is expected to be enlisted for $27,000.
General Motors will make a totally new agenda regarding the SUV and sedan segments. This is something that we expected before the pandemic. The main idea is to make new GM orders with electric vehicles. We are looking forward to the new models, although these units are probably available for quite a time now.
