The new product of GM is showing a new full-size segment at its best. The prototype of a new 2024 GMC Acadia has spotted earlier this year, and under the camouflage is an upgraded version of the next generation of the crossover. This prototype has longer wheelbase, and it’s the second generation of the former Acadia. The overall redesign offers more space, legroom and additional cargo space. As we could see from the hidden vehicle, the redesign is boxier and sporty and inspired by the full-size GMC Yukon. The first impression is important so we can see the various possibilities that this model offers.
Since the redesign suffers a lot of additional technical improvements. Also, following more interior space and an additional row of seats this model is a serious competitor to a Hyundai Palisade. The Acadia nameplate is expected to be used for the next generations in the future.
2024 GMC Acadia Redesign Rumors
Although the process of redesigning is still ongoing, we believe that we can confirm our expectations. The new full-size truck will offer more details than the previous model. The new 2024 GMC Acadia will show a unique boxy appearance with major uplifts and serious spaciousness. Although is just a start, the new Acadia will offer a full-size impression with increased dimensions, compared to the previous unit.
The previous model has a shortage in wheelbase by 3.5 inches. However, this unit has a length made enough to cover all additions on the exterior. As we could see from the spy shoots, the exterior is seemingly like the GMC Yukon. However, the differences are still present, the modern LED lighting system has more space covered. And also, the modern upper space for the grill looks promising, since the boxier frontal part we can assume the larger display of LED lights, possibly in two lines.
New Platform
The new 2024 GMC Acadia will use a newly upgraded platform that provides a longer wheelbase and an additional row of seats. However, the current model is carried upon Chi-platform. Although the Chevy Travers and Buick Enclave are using its architecture, with a longer wheelbase, the Chi platform is quite reliable. However, there is no certain info about the correct platform or architecture that will be in use for the new Acadia. So, there is a dilemma about adopting the LWB Chi-expanded platform or a new GM SUV future platform reserved for full-size units.
Regardless, we believe that this unit should go under the full-size truck segments. After developing new tech in further concept, we could anticipate new trim levels and packages. Upon the luxurious models like Yukon, we can expect rich and wide offers regarding the trim levels.
Trim Levels
The newest form of 2024 GMC Acadia should be available in four trim levels. Each of these trims will have specs and technical support with adjustable packages. The engine and additions will be divided upon the price and trim level chosen. The main four trim levels are SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali as the variety of hybrid versions. This is not confirmed yet, but as the unique model of the new redesign, we could anticipate this possibility.
The SLE trim level is the base and therefore the base offer which will include a lot of things. The 228hp turbocharged 4-cylinder engine is a start followed by 18-inch wheels and keyless entry. On the inside, we could expect a 3-zone climate control and 8-inch infotainment touchscreen. With this infotainment system, you can expect an Apple CarPlay and Android smartphone integration Wireless Auto and 6-speaker sound system, also having even more than 5 USB ports. The other trim levels will have adjusted Automatic Emergency breaking, Parking sensors front and back and Lane guard assistance. The other like roof rails and panoramic roofs are implemented for upper trim levels.
2024 GMC Acadia Engine Specifications
For the base engine for the new 2024 GMC Acadia, we will introduce the 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. This unit is able to produce 228hp as the base version of a starting trim level. The optional 3.6-liter V-6 will be able to produce 310hp with 9-speed automatic transmission. In this case, an FWD is going to be standard for both engines and AWD is going to be optional. Even so, the new Acadia will offer quiet performance, especially at higher speeds.
This says a lot about the stability of its performance, and yet the adaptive suspension which is standard on Denali trim level and optional on SLT trim will adjust every unnecessary sound. The quiet cabin will provide a smooth ride and steady performance.
2024 GMC Acadia Price and Launching Date
We still do not know the correct pricing for the new 2024 GMC Acadia. The new full-size truck will offer exclusive advantages, especially regarding the upper trim levels. As the unique unit, the new Acadia should be available by the end of 2024, maybe a couple of months later.
Regarding the price, the primary estimated price for the base unit should be about $37,000. However, regarding the trim levels from above, we believe the top Premium package should be going above $49,500. We will be updating the recent news and developments on this model.
