General Motors confirmed the next generation of its small SUV. The new 2025 Chevy Equinox will ride on the updated GM D2 platform – GM D2-2. It will allow engineers and designers to build different things, such as a completely electric crossover. Once again, General Motors and Chevrolet won’t produce a hybrid unit. Equinox suffers a lot because of that, since the best-sellers in the class can do 40+ mpg.
This is going to be the fourth generation of the crossover. The current one is in the market since 2018. Although there is no hybrid drivetrain, Equinox managed to put out very good sales numbers. The new version will carry over the latest 1.5-liter turbo engine. The only alternative is going to be an electric powerplant. The 2025 Chevy Equinox EV also brings numerous upgrades inside the cockpit.
2025 Chevy Equinox Redesign Details
Spy photos of the new 2025 Chevy Equinox are not unveiling too much. But, fans know the most important thing – prototypes of the next-gen vehicle are being tested. The model for the 2024 season is already launched, which leaves more space and time to designers and engineers to tune the new one without flaws.
The list of updates is going to be quite long, as for every new generation. We believe the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox will find inspiration in Blazer SUV. New headlights and grille will draw attention. Maybe we won’t have to wait until the 2025 Chevy Equinox to see the electric version of the crossover. The company promised the vehicle by the end of 2023 and a base price of $30,000. The range reaches 300 miles, and super-fast chargers need 10 mins to restore energy for the next 70 miles. The Equinox EV will be full of advanced options, such as an 18-inch screen. The carmaker even announced colors for the electric vehicle. Summit White, Black, Sterling Gray Metallic, Red Hot, Galaxy Gray Metallic and Riptide Blue Metallic are the standard offer, and you can also select premium paints – Radiant Red Metallic, Iridescent Pearl Tricoat, and a dual-tone combo of Riptide Blue and Summit White. The interior is dominated by gray or black.
2025 Chevy Equinox Release Date and Price
The all-new Equinox is not coming out until the final quarter of 2024. The company continues its development. The crossover is in advanced phases, and every now and then spy photographers catch the crossover in action. But, with so much time before the final premiere, there is a lot of room for changes. We can only estimate the price, but it heavily depends on options. If the Z71 shows up, that will be the new top-of-the-line model. The base MSRP should stay under $30k, which makes the Equinox one of the most affordable choices in the compact crossover segment.
